APEX Fueling Station reimagines the familiar service station for the future of mobility and retail. The concept combines architecture, branding, landscape, and flexible programming within a recognizable roadside destination.
Instead of treating fueling as a single-purpose activity, the design creates a broader customer experience. As a result, visitors can access retail, refreshments, services, and social spaces during their stop.
Reimagining the Service Station
The 25,000-square-foot concept introduces several coordinated design interventions. First, sculptural bamboo columns transform the canopy into a memorable architectural feature.
The branching forms provide shade around the fuel pumps. At the same time, bamboo brings warmth to the vehicle-focused environment.
Updated façade cladding gives the buildings a contemporary identity. In addition, mirrored panels reflect activity, landscape, and changing light.
Together, these elements transform a familiar building type into a recognizable destination.
Bamboo, Branding, and Art
Furthermore, the bamboo structures establish a strong visual identity. Their repeating forms connect the fuel pumps, retail spaces, and pedestrian areas.
Integrated signage makes services and prices easy to identify. Likewise, refreshed branding creates a consistent appearance from the street.
Site artwork adds another layer of character. In addition, landscaping softens paved areas and defines circulation routes.
