Ava Arts Wins Chicago Athenaeum
2025 American Architecture Award
AVA Arts District has been recognized in the Multi-Family Housing category of the 2025 American Architecture Awards, a leading international awards program presented by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, in collaboration with The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. The awards celebrate the most significant built works realized around the world and are widely regarded as a benchmark for contemporary architectural excellence.
Established to honor innovation, design quality, and meaningful contributions to the built environment, the American Architecture Awards convene an international jury of architects, designers, critics, and academics. Each year, the program highlights projects that advance architectural thinking while responding to cultural, social, and urban conditions across a broad range of typologies.
AVA Arts District was selected in the Multi-Family Housing category for its approach to dense urban living, where architecture, public space, and community life are closely intertwined. The project reflects OFFICEUNTITLED’s ongoing interest in housing as an active participant in the city—prioritizing shared spaces, permeability at the ground plane, and a strong relationship between private residences and the public realm.
We are honored to be included among this year’s award recipients and to see AVA Arts District recognized within a program that celebrates architectural rigor, urban responsibility, and enduring design values.
