We’re proud to share that OFFICEUNTITLED is officially Green Business Certified through the Culver City Sustainable Business Program. This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to reducing our environmental impact through both the spaces we design and the way we operate as a firm.

We believe sustainability is most successful when it’s collaborative. We engage clients, consultants, and contractors early in the process—educating them on available sustainable design strategies, goal-setting together, and maintaining open lines of communication to ensure those goals are carried through. We also vet all proposed value engineering substitutions to protect the integrity of sustainability goals.

Our design process begins with a passive-first methodology that prioritizes building orientation, massing, daylighting, and natural ventilation to reduce reliance on mechanical systems. These strategies are informed by site-specific factors such as sun path, wind patterns, and soil conditions. Internally, our Sustainability Committee leads firmwide efforts aligned with the AIA 2030 Challenge, including project performance tracking, post-occupancy evaluations, material library audits, and team education around sustainable design innovations.

Sustainability also shapes our daily operations. We have eliminated single-use plastics in the office, provide reusable dishware and water bottles for staff, and use natural ventilation and programmable HVAC systems to reduce energy use. We prioritize digital documentation, encourage biking, carpooling, and public transit, and support professional development in green building practices. Our work emphasizes adaptive reuse, low-embodied carbon materials, and landscape-driven design to reduce waste and enhance environmental performance.

Ultimately, our sustainable practice is grounded in curiosity, empathy, and a commitment to discovery. Being a certified Green Business is one milestone in our ongoing sustainability journey, and we remain committed to creating responsible, future-focused solutions that serve people, place, and planet.
